Yahsmine Lamar has led a multifaceted career in the arts, blending her expertise in movement pedagogy, somatic movement research, and art curation. She’s been involved in various cultural, artistic and social initiatives between Germany, Brazil, Italy, France and Nepal. From serving as the artistic director of festivals to participating in cultural gatherings, artistic residencies, performances and social-environmental actions.

During the Nacht der Museen, a yearly scheduled cultural event of the city. Ingolstadt gets the taste of Dance and Performance when Yahsmine Lamar is invited by Thobias Hoffmann 2008 director of MKK Ingolstadt to interact with one of the sculptures of Christian Megerts – Spiegel. From then on her interactions within the museum spaces of the city have been ongoing.

This Master-Thesis research aims to bring the reading of the term and science recognized by Foucault as Heterotopia and Heterotopology to the analysis of the performed space and how it inter(co)relates with the body that enters it and vice versa, using a somatic-performative research methodology (Ciane Fernandes) and critical analysis of the work Performance-Installation Percepção.

Lamar received a 2 years scholarship from the Stiftung Birgit Keil to have her studies in dance concluded at the Faculty of Dance and performance in Mannheim. Under the tutorial of Frau Keil and Vladimir Kloss.
